
Prescription CO tax debt: what is and what should I give it up?
I'm trying to establish a payment plan for my state tax CO 2003, and in order to establish the payment plan, I have to sign a paper that says: "I agree with the terms of this agreement to pay and in so doing, waive the statute of limitations for the collection of this debt. "What does that mean? What is the statute of limitations? not sound like your signature. Please give me info!
Does not seem to go with the IRS Thurs, a company private collection .. no signature, and each state has a limit on how long they can continue debt (debt not the IRS), the IRS will resolve payment from you, go on the computer and search for "Prescription" and get a website shows the annual limits for each state .. becarful you sign ..
